The Path of Conscious Luxury
We believe clothing should establish a clean connection between the soil, the weaver's hands, and your skin. Here is the lifecycle of a Shwet garment.
Sourcing Natural Fibers
Our journey begins on organic farms. We use long-staple cotton grown under natural rainfed conditions in central India, and organic flax grown in pesticide-free linen collectives. No synthetic blends or microplastics are ever introduced.
Handloom Spinning & Weaving
In Phulia and Maheshwar, raw cotton and silk fibers are spun by hand onto wooden spools and mounted onto handlooms. Throwing the shuttle by hand produces beautiful structural slubs, ensuring that each bolt of fabric is truly one-of-a-kind.
Fermented Botanical Dyeing
We never use petrochemical colorants. Our fabrics are dyed using fermented plants, roots, minerals, and tree bark. This closed-loop process utilizes recycled dye wastewater to irrigate nearby farmland, enriching rather than damaging local aquifers.
